Softball Factory Alumni Notebook (Week of 5/21/18)

Each week in the Alumni Notebook, we highlight Softball Factory alums who are performing well at all levels of college softball.

Division II

Hobby Gregory –Gregory, a freshman outfielder for the North Georgia Nighthawks, helped her team advance to the 2018 Division II Softball Championships when she slid home on a double steal and scored the go-ahead run in a 2-1 win over Young Harris last weekend. The game-winning run was her 32nd scored on the year and the Williamson, Ga. native has 41 hits, seven doubles, a triple, a home run and 19 RBI to her name this season. Gregory has been a promising addition to the Nighthawks roster in her first year with the team and currently bats .342. She attended attended an Under Armour Softball Factory National Tryout in Lawrenceville, Ga. in January of 2015.

Kacie Kelly – Kelly is a sophomore infielder for the Saint Leo Lions who had two hits and scored two runs in a  6-3 win over Ala.-Huntsville for the South Regional title Saturday afternoon that would help the Lions to advance to the 2018 Division II Softball World Series. The Jacksonville, Fla. native has had a hot bat this season to say the least, scoring 45 runs and knocking 66 hits, a team-leading 15 doubles, two triples and 24 RBI so far in 2018. Her .388 batting average is the best on the Lions roster. Kelly participated in the 2015 Under Armour Softball Factory Summer Classic Showcase.

Taylor Fogle – Fogle, a junior infielder for the Angelo State Rambelles, went 1-3 with a walk drawn and a run in a dominating 8-1 victory over Texas A&M Commerce that secured the program its second-straight trip to the NCAA Division II College Softball World Series. The Pico Rivera, Calif. native has a batting average of .333 and has been a key piece to the Rambelles offense this season as she has recorded 24 runs and drilled in 43 hits, 10 doubles, nine home runs and 37 RBI. She took part in an Under Armour National Tryout in Orange, Calif. in March of 2012.

Division III

Hannah Anderson

Hannah Anderson – Anderson, a junior infielder for the Ithica Bombers, scored a run for her team in a 7-4 victory over St. John Fisher in the Rochester Super Regional, sending the Bombers to the 2018 Division III Softball Championships. The run was the Physical Therapy major’s 26th on the season. She currently totes a solid .338 batting average and has smacked 45 hits, eight doubles, two triples, four home runs and 29 RBI in 2018 for the Bombers. The Caledonia, N.Y. native attended an Under Armour Softball Factory College PREP Program in Rochester, N.Y. in March of 2013.

Jesse DeDomenico – DeDomenico is a sophomore pitcher and outfielder for the Rowan Profs and just picked up her 23rd win of the season in a 2-1 victory over Moravian College, punching her team a ticket to Oklahoma City for the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. The East Windsor, N.J. native tossed 7.0 innings, allowing just one run on four hits and striking out six batters. DeDomenico has been an absolute ace on the mound for the Profs in 2018 and currently carries a team-best ERA of 1.04 and a whopping 161 strikeouts. Her talents extend beyond the mound, as she is hitting .341 at the plate and has collected 31 runs, 45 hits, six doubles, one triple and home run a piece and 21 RBI this season. DeDomenico scored one of her team’s two runs in the contest against Moravian. The talented student-athlete participated in an Under Armour Softball Factory National Tryout in Mt. Laurel, N.J. in March of 2013.

Sidney Brannam – Brannam, a freshman  pitcher and first baseman for the Case Western Reserve University Spartans, pitched four innings in relief for her team, allowing zero runs on three hits, while striking out three batters in game one of a the three-game set against Hope College. The Spartans would later clinch a berth to the 2018 NCAA Division III Softball Championship and solid outings on the mound from Brannam are a big part of CWRU’s successful season. The Biochemistry major has struck out 54 batters and currently boasts an impressive 1.81 ERA and 15-4 record. The Austin, Texas major took part in the 2016 Under Armour Softball Factory Holiday Classic Showcase.
