Pines Thunder – Bayona

-#7 Angelina Santiago: She reads the ball well off of the bat and stays light on her feet when going for a ball. She positions herself well behind the ball to come through with solid momentum through her throws. She is disciplined at the plate and has a good eye for the strike zone. She puts the ball in play and finds a way on base.

 

-#11 Sophia Santiago: Behind the plate, she is a wall. She blocks the ball well and gets over top well with her body keeping everything in front of her. She works hard for her pitcher and communicates well with her defense.

 

-#73 Karsyn Bode: In the batters box, she is confident and battles every single pitch. She attacks the ball early in the count and makes consistent contact. She has great hustle and puts pressure on the defense.

Pines Thunder Black

-#1 Gabriella Aleman: Gabriella is patient at the plate and produces runs for her team with her power. She is selective and waits for her pitch to hit. She displays great pop in her contact and is explosive through the zone with her barrel.

 

-#7 Taylor Brown: Taylor has great footwork at first base and stays low in her fielding position. She works well from the ground up when moving laterally for a ball and stays athletic through her motion. She comes through the ball well and has a quick release on her throws to her target.

 

-#12 Shawna McNair: Shanna has good speed on the base path and solid barrel control in the box. She places the ball well where the defense isn’t and can power slap the ball with good pop when they are playing in. At second base, she has effective footwork and a smooth transfer to her throws.

Angels – Holton

-#4 Jenna Graham: Offensively, Jenna has a very balanced swing. She stays level through the zone and has strong pull power. She has a good eye for the strike zone and battles in the box at all times.

 

-#3 Hope Hobbs: Behind the plate, Hope has a strong base and frames each pitch well. She works hard for her pitcher and displays leadership qualities on the field. She is quick in her transfer and accurate in her throws to bases. At the plate, she has good ball placement and is strong in her short game.

 

-#21 Alana Johnson: Alana has great body awareness and runs the bases well. She is light on her feet and shows great speed both in the outfield and down the base path. She is always ready for the next play ahead of her and communicates well with her teammates.

 

#5 Madison Strickland: Madison pitches in the upper 50’s but can drop her speed to low 40’s on her change up. She has a deceiving rise ball that sneaks up in the zone late. She has good control on her off speed and throws off hitters timing well.

-#13 Jaci Coleman: Jaci moves well defensively and stays light on her feet to the ball. She stays low when moving laterally for the ball and has good bag awareness. She hits hard up the middle and find the barrel consistently.

 

-#54 Julia Carter: Julia is a power pitch in the circle who has great demeanor and attacks hitters early. She creates good spin on her pitches and throws consistently around 59mph. She mixes her pitches well and her curve cuts out of the zone well to fool hitters.

-#57 Kiela Paloma: In the outfield, she reads the ball well off of contact and takes good angles to the ball. In the batters box, she squares the ball up consistently and shows good pop up the middle. She has great timing in the box and battles every time she steps in to hit.

-#17 Amy Kennedy: In the circle, she is calm and confident in her mound presence. She sits around 56-58mph and 40 mph on her change up. She moves around the zone well and hits her spots well on the corners. She defends her position well in the circle and attacks the hitters early.

 

-#26 Mallory Forrester: Mallory has great reactions in the circle on come back balls her way. She has sharp movement that gets hitters to swing and miss frequently. She creates good wrist action on each pitch and keeps solid composure in the circle.

-#12 Liliana Novak: She sets up well behind the plate and frames pitches well in the zone. She steals strikes for her pitchers and gets her body over top of the ball well on her blocks. She has a 2.2 pop time on her throws to bases and is always ready to pop out quickly on bunt coverage.

On the bases, she is aggressive and is not afraid to drop a bunt down to get herself on base for her team. She is quick down the line and calm on the mound.

 

-#7 Karli Williams: Behind the plate, Karli displays strength in her throws to bases and keeps her throws low and accurate to her target. She moves well and stays athletic in her fielding stance. In the batters box, she uses her legs well through her swing creating good pop in her contact.

 

-#33 AJ Johnson: Offensively, AJ keeps her hands inside the ball well and drives the ball well up the middle. She is balanced in her stance and has a good eye for the strike zone. Defensively, she hustles hard after balls and creates good range to both sides. She covers a lot of ground and keeps the ball in the infield.

 

#41 Josalin Whitten: At first base, Josalin is agile and stays low through each play. In the batters box, she is patient on the change up and keeps her hands level through the zone. She makes good contact up the middle and is smart on the bases.
