Softball Factory Select Training at the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center

Important Event Info:

  • • Players traveling alone will be greeted by Softball Factory staff at baggage claim
  • • Players are fully supervised 24 hours a day
  • • All player meals will be covered throughout the duration of the event
  • • Players should bring all necessary equipment for training
  • • Players will receive a Softball Factory jersey
  • • Players will receive an Under Armour headband
  • • No spending money needed, but players may bring money
  • • Players will receive Softball Factory’s Recruiting, Education and Development (R.E.D.) Manual
  • • Players will attend a hitting and pitching presentation by Lea Ann Jarvis, Director of Softball Operations for Softball Factory. Players and parents will also attend the Softball Factory Life Skills & Goal Setting Seminar.

About Lea Ann Jarvis:

Lea Ann is the current Director of Softball Operations at Softball Factory. Lea Ann won two World Titles on the USA National Team in 1986 and 1990. She coached at the Division I level for 17 years and was a two-time NCAA All-American while playing for Louisiana Tech.
Team Tournament

    Softball Factory Select Training at the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center provides players with the opportunity to work with our professional staff on all aspects of their game at the same complex utilized by the USA Softball Women’s National Team! Players will be immersed in softball from morning till night. Train with current USA National Team member Katie Cochran!

Softball Factory Select Training Benefits:

Four days of intense training with our professional staff

  • • Our professional coaching staff includes Director of Softball Operations, Lea Ann Jarvis. Lea Ann is regarded as one of the best catchers to ever grace the softball diamond; she won two World Championships on the USA National Team in 1986 and 1990.
  • • Current USA Women’s National Team member Katie Cochran will help with training at the event. Katie broke every offensive career and single-season record at Division I Arizona State and currently plays outfield for the USA Women’s National Team.
  • • There will be a focus on pre-college preparation of team fundamentals.
  • • One-on-one and small group training will focus on improving each player’s confidence.

Translate your skills from practice into live game situations

  • • You will participate in scrimmages against other advanced level competition.
  • • Our coaches will make adjustments based on observations they make during live game play.
  • • Players will work on the fundamentals that college coaches look for in their recruits.

Opportunity to train and compete at the same complex as Team USA

  • • The Women’s U.S. National Softball Team trains on site for the Pan American Games and other events. Complex includes main playing field, practice infield, batting and pitching cages.
  • • All training will take place at this top-notch facility.
