Pocket Radar and Softball Factory Team Up

Partnership created to expand player development impact for Softball Factory athletes through training with the Ball Coach model from Pocket Radar.

February 17, 2015 (Santa Rosa, CA and Columbia, MD) - Softball Factory is proud to announce a partnership with Pocket Radar Inc., provider of innovative speed measurement technology designed for coaching and training.

Pocket Radar’s Ball Coach model has been named as the Official Radar Gun of Softball Factory and will be integrated into all 200 Softball Factory events across the nation. Softball Factory will use the Ball Coach radar to capture player data for use in evaluation and training. This data will be provided directly to players, parents and coaches to give them a framework for where they stand nationwide and how to continue their on-field success.

“We pride ourselves on providing players with a full evaluation of their skills,” said Jason Budden, SVP of Marketing & Brand at Softball Factory. “The Ball Coach radar delivers key metrics including exit velocity which will allow us to deliver more information to our players. Our goal is to give players a prescription for future success based on their strengths and areas for improvement. The Ball Coach radar will be a key component in the development of our players and we are very excited for the impact on our athletes.”

The Ball Coach radar is a speed training tool for player development through one-on-one coaching or self-guided drills and hands-free operation keeps it simple. By making crucial results like hitting power, pitching speeds and throwing speeds instantly visible, training with the Ball Coach radar helps athletes get better faster.

“We’re excited to be working with Softball Factory to incorporate our award-winning Ball Coach radar into all of their training programs nationwide,” said Steve Goody, CEO and co-founder of Pocket Radar, Inc. “Athletes will now have the added advantage of world-class coaching and measurement technology, combined.”

Together, Pocket Radar and Softball Factory will reach thousands of serious softball players through numerous grassroots efforts.  Softball Factory will help to promote and sell Pocket Radar’s Ball Coach model through events, online and the company’s various digital and social media platforms.
